I think dropping this on a Monday morning, when it is competing with a lot of correspondence in my inbox and on Slack, shows how badly you are misjudging my ability for self-control. This is like dropping a new episode of Fleabag, Season 2, episode 5, "will-he-or-wont-he Hot Priest" material for some of us. I have watched 10 minutes, or told myself I would allow myself only 10 minutes and save the rest for later, but we are now at 12 minutes and it is A SLIPPERY SLOPE. I am so honored about all the references, I can't believe I am competing with your parents, though I also can believe it, and guess who will win at this game! Me. I hope you understand that I will win the Marlow night and that he and I will be at the Mexico border by next morning.
Purchased Goodnight Moon after listening to this episode. The artwork creeps me out, but Olivia loves it. She's obsessed with the goodnight kittens page. She doesn't care much for the kittens on the other pages, but she shrieks in delight when she sees them on that page. I suspect the book is harboring evil spirits.
The discourse on the child media discourse highlights the need for disruption from the attention economy towards creators... Substack for children when?

Puppet shows could become part of weekend entertainment. Corinna loves to peek behind the curtain!
Loved the discussion of Goodnight Moon! My all time favorite children’s book (and it’s not just for children)!
Would buy "ELBOW RICE" merch.
